"میشل هارل" ابداع کننده سبک خاصی از هنرهای مجسمه سازی ولی ازنوعی متفاوت با عنوان "تندیس زندگی" است که در این رابطه با سفر به کشورها و شهرهای مختلفی مانند لندن، رم، شیکاگو، بارسلونا، وین، برلین، پاریس، سان فرانسیسکو و ... با انجام جشنواره های بزرگ و نمایشگاه های متعدد جهت جذب مشارکت مخاطبان به این هنر، ضمن بازسازی برخی فرهنگ ها، مسائل و مشکلات اجتماعی لحظاتی را برای تفکر، سرگرمی و خنده پدید آورده است.

بازیگران این سبک از آثار هنری با پوشیدن لباس های ویژه و استفاده از رنگ و گریم های مخصوص ساعت ها بدون حرکت می مانند و ناگهان درموقعیتی مناسب با حرکتی غیر قابل انتظار موجب واکنش اطرافیان وبینندگان خود می شوند! افراد مختلفی که از این تندیس ها بازدیدمی کنند عکس العمل های متفاوتی به حرکت این تندیس ها نشان میدهند که اکثرا"با ترس، تعجب و خوشحالی همراه می باشد که در نوع خود بسیارجالب است.

بازیگران ایفای نقش این تندیس ها باید در لباس های ویژه و گریم های رنگارنگ (معمولا مسی، طلایی و نقره ای) برای چند ساعت ایستاده و بدون حرکت باشند که اینکار نه تنها کاریست بسیار سخت و خسته کننده، بلکه حس اعتماد به نفس قابل توجهی را هم می طلبد.
